Landscapes USA was able to save 92% on labor costs with the RC Mowers R800-L608 within its first 1,000 hours.
The leadership of Landscapes USA, a family of nationwide landscaping companies, did not know how robotic mowing would transform their business when they met RC Mowers’ staff at the EQUIP Expo 2021 in Louisville, Kentucky.
When Regional Vice President Daniel Stagg calculated how many man-hours LUSA saved by purchasing RC Mowers’ largest Remote control zero turn mower on tracks, he was shocked at the amount of money LUSA saved.
Stagg stated that they had used it for only one round of clients, which was 960 to 1,000 hours. It proved to be a 92% labor saving. “And it was our first use! We had not even learned to make it more effective. “We’ve probably saved another one to three percent now that we know how to do it better.”
Stagg stated that LUSA used to have to hire multiple employees in order to complete all steep-slope jobs. This was if they were able to find the workers. He said that finding labor was always a challenge, but now they can send just one employee to handle all the slope work instead of an entire team.
LUSA is headquartered in Austin Texas and has offices throughout Texas, Florida Georgia Tennessee Colorado Arizona California. Residential and commercial landscaping services are available, including landscape design, installation, soil preparation, mulching tree planting, removal and slope maintenance.
Stagg stated that the R800-L608 allowed LUSA better service its customers who have steep slopes, and allowed the company’s growth.
He said that owning the lawnmower allowed him to take on more slope work. We can serve our clients better and take on the work that other landscaping companies may not want due to the amount of man-hours required to maintain steep slopes.
Stagg also said he was impressed by how safe the R800-L608 device is, and that it has enabled his company to reduce slips and fall risks to virtually nothing.
He said, “Safety has always been a priority to us.” Since we started using the RC Mowers, we haven’t had any accidents. It has had a positive effect on our safety initiatives.”
